Software QA Analyst
MQSoftware has an immediate opening for a Software QA Analyst. If you are looking to extend your skills and stay current on leading edge technology, come work for MQSoftware as a Software QA Analyst. You'll get great experience in a multi-platform environment, testing commercial middleware software solutions.
Work with developers to define comprehensive test requirements and test cases for multi-tier messaging software supporting WebSphere MQ, WebSphere Application Server, BEA WebLogic, and similar products on a variety of hardware platforms including UNIX, Windows, z/OS, and others. Report and track defects against the existing product and new product enhancements. Troubleshoot problems and work with developers and support to resolve.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Knowledge of software test procedures
- Experience with multiple operating systems e.g., Windows, UNIX preferred
- Experience testing multi-tier client-server applications
- Experience testing internet/intranet applications
- Experience with middleware technologies (e.g., IBM WebSphere products, Tibco, BEA)
The ideal candidate would also have experience in the following areas:
- End-user database experience (SQLServer, DB2, Oracle, Sybase)
- Knowledge of Perl and scripting languages preferred
- Knowledge of Java, J2EE, C, or C++ a plus but not necessary
